Bend, OR - United States of AmericaThe Ale Apothecary creates all-natural, barrel-aged beer from ingredients sourced from natural lands and sources in Oregon.Paul Arney created The Ale Apothecary in 2011 in the woods near Bend. Inspired by the anonymous brewers of history, his goal was to connect brewing to the land and create a beer with a sense of place. With raw, soft water coming out of the ground, with wild yeast suspended in the air, they make a craft beer with no industrial footprint, where time and their brewing process are as important as the local barley malt and hops. A naturally carbonated beer, with honey or local fruit juices.
