San Marcos, CA - Stati Uniti d'America Nel 1997, quando Tomme Arthur fu assunto da Vince e Gina Vince Marsaglia per produrre birra al Pizza Port di Solana Beach, California, pubblicò la Dubbel Overhead Abbey Ale, la prima birra in stile belga mai prodotta al Pizza Port. Fu sviluppata una serie di Overhead Ales e presto seguirono molte altre birre di ispirazione belga.
