De Leite

Ruddervoorde, Vlaanderen - Belgium

Luc Vermeersch, founder of the De Leite brewery, his friend Etienne Van Poucke and the third partner Paul Vanneste met during a brewing course, launched the brewery in 2008.

"Leite" is a deformation of the Dutch word "laagte" (valley) and would also refer to a place in Ruddervoorde where a stream flows past the leite mill, near the brewery.
