An extraordinary Barleywine from Birrificio Agricolo Baladin, Teo Musso's independent Italian farm brewery. This Xyauyù Kentucky Riserva is aged in barrel with tobacco leaves, in an oxidative style reminiscent of great fortified wines. The nose unfolds stone fruits, caramel and generous alcohol; the palate, initially soft then malty, evokes raisins, brown sugar, sherry, fig and port notes before a dry finish. A meditation beer at 14%.
Piozzo, Piemonte - ItalyThe Baladin farm brewery was established in 1996 (production and bar) in Piozzo by its founder and master brewer Teo Musso.Throughout its evolution, it has moved several times according to the evolution of its production needs: from a few square meters stolen from the pub, to the larger space of Teo's parents' chicken coop, to the current modern and vast facility at Baladin's Open Garden.
