This pale-by-name-IPA-by-nature-beer is an ode to the brains behind all of Beak Brewery’s artwork, Mr J Cover, an imaginative, astute and thoughtful Manx man with a deep appreciation of the sea, stamps, pints and toads – we love you Jay.
Beak began life as a nomadic project run by food and drink writer Daniel Tapper, who spent several years honing his recipes with friends at some of the UK’s greatest breweries. The project then laid roots in the East Sussex town of Lewes in 2020 where it also runs a taproom and street-food canteen. Though best known for its hop-forward IPAs, the brewery also makes a wide range of beers from crisp and clear pilsners to decadent imperial stouts.
