Belhaven Brewery - 80 Shilling - 3.9% - 50cl - Bte
Description
80 Shilling is Belhaven's classic, hand-pulled, cask-conditioned ale - just like great great great grandpa would have had. It has a classic red appearance in the glass, rich and smooth. An Austrian Emperor once described 80/- as 'the burgundy of Scotland'. Not sure how many he'd had, but the man clearly had taste.

Dunbar, East Lothian - Scotland Belhaven - or "Beautiful harbor" - nestles among the rolling barley fields of the beautiful East Lothian coast, about 20 miles east of Edinburgh. For almost 300 years, they've brewed here using only the finest local barley and the finest hops. Founded in 1719, Belhaven is Scotland's oldest working brewery. Thanks to the abundance of local barley, the quality of the brewery's well water, and access to coastal markets, Belhaven was the perfect location for a brewery at the time, and it still is today.
