BFM - St Bon-Chien 2018 - 11% - 37.5cl - Bte
Description
The 2018 vintage of the iconic Abbaye de Saint Bon-Chien from Brasserie des Franches-Montagnes (BFM), in Saignelégier in the Jura. This powerful Sour at 11% ages for one year in old oak barrels that previously held wine, before the various barrels are blended to build complexity. Born of a mixed fermentation started with wine yeasts, it develops a winey and tart profile over the course of maturation. On the palate, it evokes fruity red wines, with a pronounced balsamic acidity and great depth. One of the world's great sours.

Saignelégier, Jura - Switzerland Nous concocter la meilleure bière! Founded in 1997 by Jérôme Rebetez, who had formerly been trained as an oenologist, this tiny brewery has rapidly become known for making beers that stretch traditional beer style guidelines and use unorthodox ingredients. BFM's products are made in small batches and hand-packaged at the brewery. We are lucky enough to be not only very good friends, but also official dealers of the entire BFM range. And we can boast of having the largest selection of BFM in the world!
