It's that time of the year again. Hop harvest! Although Cataluña is not a huge hop growing region, there are some great smalll growers. One of those is Biolupulus who grow top quality organic hops. Last year we brewed Lacura using their Chinook and we really loved that beer so we have brewed Lacura 2022. Keeping the malt bill the same, we have ever so slightly tweaked the dry hop to increase the Chinook portion over the Mosaic to further accentuate the pine and grapefruit notes. What results is a incredibly smooth bodied IPA that has a tangible grassY, resinous undertones but bursts fruit on the front end.
Barcelona, Catalunya - Spain They started as a brewpub in 2015 in the Eixample neighborhood of Barcelona. In 2017 they opened the main brewery where most of the beers are brewed, though they still use the brewpub for their mixed fermentation beers.
