The Kriek Brut from Belgian brewery Liefmans is a fruit beer crafted from a blend of Oud Bruin and Goudenband from different vintages, macerated on black cherries. The deep reddish-brown colour is topped by a pale head, with notes of wood and almond on the nose. On the palate, the fresh tang of cherries meets a fruitiness that is both lightly sweet and delicately bitter. A patiently matured blend, perfectly balanced and elegant.

The Liefmans brewery brews its beers according to a tradition dating back to 1679.The typical flavor is obtained by mixed fermentation in open vats, followed by a stage and the assembly of old and young beers. Fermentation is completed with wild yeast from the region.Liefmans was the first brewery to hand wrap each bottle in tissue paper.
