Framboise de Amorosa from The Lost Abbey is an American Wild Ale born from the Lost and Found beer, aged for over a year in freshly emptied red wine barrels, with three successive additions of raspberries. The attack is soft, giving way to a long tart finish where raspberry reveals itself on gracefully acidic notes. The barrel ageing lends a woody character that structures the whole and prevents any monotony. A fruity sour of beautiful complexity.
