Northern Monk - Patrons Project 28.01 - 6.5% - 44cl - Can
Description
First up, a sour IPA inspired by the colours and flavours of rainbow Astro Belts. We started with a simple hazy IPA base of pale barley malt and plenty of oats, backed up with lactose to round out the mouthfeel. We whirlpool hopped with Citra BBC and then fermented with our house IPA yeast strain. We selected fruits to represent the colours of the candy that we felt worked well together. Leading with the ripe fruit flavours of mango puree and orange juice, we followed up with plenty of tangy raspberry puree, and finally, a touch of zingy lime juice to give a sour accent to the finish.
