Imperial Stout Framboise from French brewery Popihn is a powerful 11% Imperial Stout with raspberry. Black in colour with a fine head. The nose blends roasted red fruits and dark chocolate. On the palate, a sweet, fruity berry-forward attack gives way to coffee and a fine roasted bitterness, all on a full body with low carbonation. The tension between the tartness of the raspberry and the bittersweet richness of the stout creates a complex, indulgent whole.
