Spencer, MA - USA Founded in 2014 and named after the town where the abbey is located, Spencer is America's first Trappist brewery. The abbey, founded in the 1950s, initially subsisted by making jams and jellies under the Trappist label. In order to look to the future, they have developed a brewery project to support their community and the charities to which they contribute. From this project was born the Spencer brewery.
