Every year since 1997, we’ve picked out the year's finest hops and malts to make a special Vintage Ale. In 2016, alongside classic British hops, we elected to use the aromatic Nelson Sauvin variety from New Zealand – and it instantly makes its presence felt alongside the warming alcohols and rich malt character long associated with the series. The result is a smooth, rich, and deliciously different Vintage Ale – a successful union of home-grown and far-flung ingredients.
Londra, Grande Londra - Inghilterra La birra viene prodotta nel sud di Londra da oltre 350 anni, fin dai tempi di Oliver Cromwell. All'epoca era abbastanza comune che le grandi famiglie producessero la propria birra. Alla fine del 1600, uno di questi birrifici privati si trovava nei giardini di Bedford House a Chiswick Mall. Un'altra, molto più umile, operava vicino al cottage di Thomas Urlin. Alla morte di Urlin, la proprietà passò alla vedova e al genero, un gentiluomo di nome Thomas Mawson, che si fece carico della gestione.
