Belhaven Scottish Oat Stout is dark, rich and layered, with a wonderful silky texture and a lingering finish. We uses a complex mash including roasted barley and oats along with 3 types of malt to give the beer its trademark depth and complexity: Creating black coffee and dark chocolate notes that make this stout intense yet approachable.
Dunbar, East Lothian - Schottland Belhaven - oder "Beautiful harbour" - schmiegt sich zwischen die wogenden Gerstenfelder der wunderschönen Küste von East Lothian, etwa 20 Meilen östlich von Edinburgh. Seit fast 300 Jahren brauen sie an diesem Ort und verwenden dabei nur die feinste lokale Gerste und den erlesensten Hopfen.1719 gegründet, ist Belhaven die älteste noch bestehende Brauerei Schottlands. Dank des Überflusses an lokaler Gerste, der Qualität des Wassers aus dem Brunnen der Brauerei und des Zugangs zu den Märkten an der Küste war Belhaven damals der ideale Ort für eine Brauerei und ist es auch heute noch.
