Sant Joan de les Abadesses, Catalunya - SpainTwo friends, Mikel Mendizabal and Marc Baulida, who started brewing at home in 2011, joined a cooperative and started selling their beers in a gourmet restaurant.They opened their brewery in 2013 and brewed rather classic styles at first, but soon became interested in more experimental brews. Pale Ale, Weizen, Stouts, but also acidic barrel-aged beers and beers fermented with brettanomyces yeast.Today, more than 60% of their production is composed of barrel-aged sour beers!
