Brekeriet tells the story of the three Ek brothers: Fredrik, Christian and André. With different backgrounds in business and food engineering, they decided to join forces and start a beer import company in the spring of 2010.

Their future goal was set from the start - to start our own brewery, and the dream became a reality in 2012 when the first batch was brewed in Djurslöv, a village outside Malmö. In 2015 they needed to expand the brewery, they brewed the first 2000 liter batch with brand new brewing equipment in their current facility in Landskrona.

Their niche is to ferment their beers with nothing but wild yeast and bacteria. To further enhance the taste experience, they also ferment a large portion of their beers with berries, fruit, or whatever they find interesting to try.

In the spring of 2020, they also started producing kimchi under the Brekeriet Flora brand. Since kimchi is fermented with lactic acid bacteria, it follows the same path as all Brekeriet products - with microorganisms at the forefront.

They also distill their wild fermented beers under the brand name Brekeriet Distillery. The "wild" flavors come through in the spirits, giving it an extra dimension. Innovation and playfulness play a huge role, even here, where only the sky is the limit.
