We're mixing it up on the pilsner front here with something fresh for the new year. A New Zealand style pilsner that shows restraint in the hopping to maintain ultimate drinkability. We've brewed this one in a similar way to our house German style Pilsner, Riba, but with all of the hop additions being Kiwi instead of German varieties. The varieties in question are Pacifica and Wai-iti. Pacifica has much more in common with a traditional German style lager hop brings plenty of fine herbal goodness while Wai-iti brings beautiful peach and apricot notes. We loaded up the whirlpool to push those more fruity tones on this pils but still keeping things in check to maintain balance. Soft water, German pilsner malt, our house lager yeast, a pair of beautiful hops from New Zealand and a whole lot of lagering time result in a crisp and refreshing number that is a favourite here at the brewery.
Barcelona, Catalunya - Spain They started as a brewpub in 2015 in the Eixample neighborhood of Barcelona. In 2017 they opened the main brewery where most of the beers are brewed, though they still use the brewpub for their mixed fermentation beers.
