This Barleywine comes from a friendship between Hoppy People in Switzerland and De Struise Brouwers in Belgium. It matured deep into the Swiss Alps at an altitude of 2’364m, in wine barrels provided by the Provins winery. Provins’ Titans wine range ages in oak barrels for 24 months in a mountain gallery inside the Grande Dixence, the biggest dam in Europe and tallest gravity dam in the world. As soon as the barrels were emptied, they were filled up again with the barleywine you’re now holding in your hands, and put away once again for 28 months. Three editions are available: white wine barrel edition, red wine barrel edition, and grand cru.
