North Haven, CT - USA Short Throw Brewing is the culmination of the talents of owner and head brewer, Brandon Tolbert. Brandon gained notoriety while serving as head brewer at The Answer Brewpub. In 2015, The Answer received the award for Best New Brewery in the state of Virginia with Tolbert at the helm.He parted ways in 2018, and went on to work at Final Gravity Brewing and Ardent Craft Ales, while trying to establish his own brand. He achieved that goal in late 2019, partnering with the Twelve Percent Beer Project, to launch Short Throw Brewing.In January 2021, RateBeer announced that Short Throw was named the 8th best new brewery in the world, 2nd best new brewery in the US.
